Institute of Systems Engineering

Systems Engineering deals with objects, devices and machines in combination with concepts of material, energy, and intelligence.

Systems include:

  • mechanical devices
  • sensors
  • energy management units
  • data processing units.

The research activities of the Systems Engineering Institute cover the following areas:

  • electrical engineering,
  • electronics,
  • computer science,
  • energy,
  • mechanical engineering,
  • materials.

The Systems Engineering Institute has a staff of 70 engineers who carry out applied research and development projects and services.

160 students are currently studying Systems Engineering at HES-SO Valais.

 

The Institute participates in
the construction of Swisscube
